HAR: Houston Housing Market Enters 7th Positive Month in a Row

HAR has released its housing report for September 2019. Overall, the data is very positive on Houston Housing. The monthly report, which can be found here, can be summed up with this quote:

“I cannot recall a fall in Houston when home sales and rentals were quite this brisk,” said HAR Chair Shannon Cobb Evans with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene. “Historically low interest rates and a strong overall local economy have drawn more buyers than usual to the market and kept Realtors like myself extremely busy. We remain on track for another record year.”

IN-N-OUT Burger Ready to Land in Houston

Burger fans rejoice. We spoke with a representative of In-N-Out this week who told us that the first In-N-Out locations in the Houston area (Katy and Stafford) are expected to open within the next 30 days or so. While no grand opening dates are scheduled just yet, the burger chain is currently accepting employment applications at both the Katy and Stafford locations. Starting pay for Associates is more than $12 per hour in Texas per In-N-Out, and Store Managers will reportedly make $160,000 per year.

In-N-Out will open its Stafford location at the former Texas Instruments site that’s been redeveloped into a 350,000 SF retail center rebranded as The Grid.
