#1. Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Saint Arnold Brewing Company
Address2000 Lyons Ave, Houston, TX 77020
Websitewww.saintarnold.com

Saint Arnold Brewery is the oldest brewery in Houston. They brew, filter, keg, and bottle all their beers themselves. There are some great unique choices and drinks you’ll be unlikely to find anywhere else.

Visiting this brewery is a great experience; seeing where and how all the beers are made makes it a unique visit.

As well as the great beer, they also have some fabulous food on offer, depending on what you fancy. They have steak, pizzas, sandwiches, and other light bites. The Italian Cold Cuts Sandwich paired with the Lemon Drops Seltzer perfectly on a warm afternoon.

The beer garden has a great vibe. It is modern and covered with wooden beams, meaning it’s mainly undercover. In the evening, it is well lit, making it a popular spot for late-night drinkers to go when they still want to stay out after the sun goes down.

Despite the very industrial surroundings, they’ve done an excellent job of making the beer garden a peaceful place to enjoy your drink. It is pleasing to the eyes and well decorated with a wooden shelter and plenty of greenery planted.

The overall atmosphere here gives you a feeling of a German beer hall. It’s definitely worth a visit when in Houston.

The beer garden has a great scenic atmosphere and plenty of tables and chairs. It does get quite busy at weekends, but it’s not always long before you get a table. It is much quieter during the week.

They have a great selection of good-quality foods available on their menus, such as sandwiches, fried chicken, salads, vegetarian food, and the famous “Boozy Brunch,” this is available every weekend until 3:00 pm. This comes highly recommended and is excellent for parties.

The service here was brilliant, the staff were friendly, and made the visit seem good fun.

They don’t have a website, but they have a Facebook page, where they’ve received a well-earned 4.8 stars in reviews.

The decor is on-trend, and the whole vibe here is suited to any group, whether it be a family meal or an evening with friends. They are also pet-friendly.

The prices here are also very reasonable. Main meals average between $7.00 and $12.00. The drinks are moderately priced. They have a massive range of spirits to choose from, from the standard options to the high-end choices. These are all priced accordingly and as expected.

8th Wonder Brewery

In 2013, 8th Wonder began brewing beer in a dome-shaped warehouse in East Downtown. Inspired by the Houston Astrodome. Which is, of course, where the brewery gets its name.

They explore different drinks from all over the world and offer something for everyone, especially for the beer variety.

In 2018, 8th Wonder’s Distillery was also born. Right across the street from the brewery, offering a variety of artisanal spirits and delicious cocktails.

The beer garden at the brewery is vast and located in a great spot, right near Minute Maid. In the beer garden and “Fun Zone,” you will find all sorts of activities and events, such as golf and regular live music.

The beers are purchased using tokens, which do not expire and can be used at any time. $6.00 will get you a single beer token (served in a 16oz plastic cup), and $15.00 gets you three beer tokens, as well as a 16oz 8th Wonder souvenir glass, which was a great touch.

This is a great family-friendly destination and a great spot to head to before or after the basketball games.
