So, whether you need a place to take the family for your annual vacation or you want somewhere right in the thick of all that goes on to enjoy a night out with friends, you’ll find the perfect temporary abode right here!

Ready to roll? Great, let’s go!

1. America’s Best Value Inn & Suites Kingwood IAH Airport

Conveniently located just six miles from the airport, I came across this hotel when I needed a place to stay when flying in to visit family. Initially, it was only meant to be a place to stay for pure practicality. Still, the service and amenities I experienced were second to none and enough to make me rebook the next time I visited.

A delicious breakfast was served daily, the parking was free, and each room was fitted with a modern kitchenette with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Nearby you can also engage in fishing, golfing, bird watching, and hiking, so if you’re a nature lover, this location will be right up your street. It’s stunning, quiet, and still only 20 miles from the hustle and bustle of the city center should you wish to go into the town.

On top of all that, I am always totally gobsmacked by the price of this place. Talk about a bang for your buck.

2. Courtyard by Marriott Houston Kingwood

I have to admit, I was slightly dubious about this place, as I hadn’t heard the highest of praises regarding its service, etc., but I have to say, referring to my personal experience, I thought it was a fabulous stay.

The staff who greeted me upon my arrival were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. They told me about the hotel’s local area and amenities, and the rooms were all immaculate.

Nearby I came across tons of dining options, and though I wasn’t there long enough to try many out, I did visit Carranna’s Italian Grill, which was exquisite, and I’d highly recommend it.

3. Baymont by Wyndham Kingwood

Another one that made my guide primarily down to its value for money is the Baymont by Wyndham because I was blown away with what I got for such a low price per night.

I always look for hotels, when it comes to budget stays, you can’t be wrong with a smiley face, a clean room, and a comfortable bed, but this place had so much more than that. This really felt like a home-from-home.

The room was extremely spacious, with a decent kitchen area boasting one of the biggest fridges I’ve ever had in a hotel room. It was huge!

There was breakfast provided. However, I can’t shout about this too much, it was very basic, and I only chose this option once, which didn’t matter to me as there was plenty of choice for great breakfast spots nearby.

Lastly, I think I had one of the best night’s sleep here I’ve had in a long time. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud, and there was a selection of pillows which I thought was pretty awesome, or maybe I just got easily pleased.

4. Super 8 by Wyndham

When I booked this hotel, in my mind, I was expecting to arrive at a very basic, budget accommodation, but boy, was I wrong.

The quality, service, and standards at this hotel are incredible, and if you didn’t know, you’d never have thought you were staying at a $60.00 per night hotel.

The decor was beautiful, the rooms and shared areas were spotless, and the staff was impeccable, humble, and accommodating in every sense of the word.

Like other low-priced hotels I’ve stayed at, the breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about, and the selection was minimal, but what do you expect for this price? Plus, the breakfast items I did have were all fresh and well-presented. So, it’s certainly not something I could ever complain about.

In all honesty, I would put this up there in comparison with some of the more expensive hotels I’ve stayed at, and in some cases, it was even better.

5. Home2 Suites Kingwood Houston

Just 15 minutes drive from IAH airport, Home2 Suites by the Hilton is set in the perfect location for commuting, work, shopping, and dining.

The hotel has tons of amenities, including being pet-friendly and having a stunning patio area that is ideal for relaxing with a drink after a day of exploring the city sights.

Rooms here are all very well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay, including kitchenettes, baths, air-con, and an allocated workspace, something which I found highly convenient on this occasion as I was in town on business.

I was spoilt for choice for nearby restaurants, as there were so many to choose from, but a couple I can personally recommend are Los Cucos Mexican Cafe and The Draft, which serves some fantastic cocktails and excellent crawfish.

In Summary

So, whether you came here in search of a pet-friendly hotel, somewhere to enjoy the peace and quiet, or a place to hit the shops, there’s a hotel in this guide for everyone.
