For a budget apartment, the hosts have gone out of their way to make you feel like you have a luxury experience, from the decor and the hardwood floors to the king-size bed and high-quality furnishings.

This Airbnb is far from a budget stay in Houston, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny if you want to splash out, spoil yourself, and be surrounded by luxury. It has even been called the best luxurious spot to sit by a pool in Houston.
Located on the Southside of Houston, it’s close to the Museum District and the Medical Center. However, there is no shortage of cabs in the area if you want to tour the rest of the city.
The apartment offers a modern yet classical theme, beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings, and a real sense of style.
There is a spacious lounge area upon entry, with a large flat-screen television, a dining table that seats six people, and a fully equipped kitchen with a central island.
From the bedroom, you can look down on the swimming pool, which has private access via an alcove.
Both bedrooms have king-sized beds, and the master bedroom has a modern ensuite bathroom.
There is quite a lot of technology going on in the rooms, but if you’re someone whos a bit of a tech-phobe, don’t worry; there is an easy-to-read manual that talks you through how everything works.

This apartment has been recently renovated as of 2022 and sits within a gated community where you can take advantage of the private pool and tennis court. It is also close to the highway, making access to other parts of the city easy.
The decor within the apartment is exceptionally tasteful, with dark wooden furniture and rich colors such as red walls and navy furnishings. It also has a modern kitchen with all appliances and utensils and a newly fitted bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The host, Chris, is super friendly and responsive to any queries you have before and during your stay.
Of course, the only downside to this place is the location, which is out of the owner’s hands. Still, there is a railway track very close by, on which trains come through at very late hours of the night/early morning. However, it’s nothing a pair of earplugs won’t fix if you’re a light sleeper.

The condo is situated within a gated community. It has a private pool for guests staying within the complex.

One of my favorite properties in this guide is this gorgeous farmhouse bungalow near Downtown Houston. With exposed brickwork and a dark wooden interior, it’s so full of character that you immediately fall in love with it.
There is a four-poster bed in the master bedroom, which feels lavish and elegant, and adds something unique to your stay.
There is a shared patio area with plenty of seating, a mini fridge, and a canopy, so you can enjoy an evening al fresco come rain or shine.
Outside is the large swimming pool, with plenty of space to get your lengths in. However, they have a hot tub in the garden, which unfortunately seems to always be out of order. I am not sure about the reasoning behind this. There is also a slide that runs into the pool. It is great fun if you’re traveling with the little ones (or big kids, in my case).
Inside the apartment is a beautiful kitchen area with a built-in double oven, a modern fridge freezer with an ice dispenser, lots of storage space, and a water dispenser.
Overall this is an excellent spot whether you’re staying long or short-term in Houston, and by the end of your stay, you won’t want to leave.

7. Nature Lover’s Executive Condo – Downtown Houston

There is also a fireplace that gives a nice touch, especially if you’re staying over the winter. It feels super cozy to come back after a long day and flick on the fire, just like at home.
