FacilitiesSuit fitting, swimwear, curbside pick-up, restaurants, hotels

This incredibly stylish shopping mall takes shopping in Houston to a new, classy level.

Here you can get everything in one place, from coffee to furniture, all while taking in the beautiful decor and exquisite stores.

I find it a lovely spot to head to for an evening shop, as the lighting creates an ambiance like no other.

The staff in all stores here are highly professional.

There is a massive variety of stores, including apple, peter miller, pottery barn, and much more. There are also many cafes and restaurants, as well as Starbucks, if you want to grab a coffee.

One downside to Highland Village is that the parking can be chaotic. I suggest going out during peak times to avoid getting caught up in road rage.

The shops at Houston, previously known as the Park Shops, are a great place to head to when you are catching up with friends or family and want somewhere relaxed to spend the day enjoying good food and indulging in a spot of retail therapy.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, including burger joints, classical Asian cuisine, desserts, and cookie snacks, as well as the famous likes of Starbucks.

They often hold events here, such as live music, gaming weeks, and tourism rallies; it’s best to call them before you visit to check the latest events because their website isn’t the most up-to-date or informative.

I highly recommend visiting their famous pasta bar, where you can pick up freshly made dishes such as beef ravioli, lasagna, ponzu chicken, and smoked salmon casarecce.

River Oaks Shopping Center is one of my personal favorites when I am looking for somewhere to spend the afternoon with one of my girlfriends, mainly because, as well as the great selection of shops, we can also lose a good couple of hours in the spa, and getting treatments as well.

With over 75 restaurants, and shops to choose from, you can easily spend a good few hours here, and if you’re visiting the spas as well, then I would recommend setting the entire day aside for your visit.

The shopping center itself has a calm and relaxing vibe, as well as being stylish and modern. They have indoor and outdoor areas, so if it’s a sunny day, you can sit outside, enjoy lunch at one of the 15 restaurants, and watch the world go by.

As well as enjoying treatments at the spa after your shopping, you could also pay a visit to their on-site gym, which is full of the latest equipment.

On top of that, there is a movie theater, which shows midnight movies at the weekend if you want to extend your shopping trip to late into the evening.

FacilitiesAir conditioning, marketplace, playground, live music

PlazAmericas is a Latin American-style shopping mall that offers Hispanic vibes regarding language, stores and decor, and restaurants, catering to its locals’ needs.

One of the popular things about PlazAmericas, and my favorite reason to visit, is the Mercado, which is the marketplace containing tonnes of individual businesses which are unique and quirky. So you aren’t just bombarded with the likes of big-name brands from the high street.

If you are looking for the more prominent names, you can expect to see stores such as Foot Locker, Deli Maxx, Crazy Boss, and Journeys.

There is an excellent selection of eateries, including cafes and restaurants, and a playground for the younger ones, so the perfect destination if you’re heading out on a shopping trip with the kids. Overall they have around 150 stores, so there is something for everyone.

The main attraction at Hong Kong City Mall is its Asian-focused stores and restaurants. It’s a popular destination for the massive Asian-American community that lives locally to the mall.

Not only can you enjoy a great day out shopping and dining on the fantastic food, but you can also get involved with the fantastic cultural atmosphere.

There is a mixture of stores, such as big high street brand names and smaller individual stalls and businesses.

One of the other main attractions is the outdoor water fountain, surrounded by palm trees, Asian-style buildings, and patio areas. It’s a beautiful place to relax with tea and a book and soak up the culture.

Probably one of my guide’s largest and most well-known shopping malls, the Galleria at Houston, just had to be mentioned.

This shopping mall welcomes over 30 million guests each year through its doors. Customers who regulate here tend to visit for the beautiful shopping environment and diversity.

The shopping mall spans over 2.4 million square feet, so you can imagine the number of shops they can cram into that space. Well, it’s over 400.

As well as just the shopping, guests can go ice-skating in the ice rink and enjoy full-sized swimming pools, tailoring shops, beauty salons, and many more retail delights.

As well to the excellent facilities, the surroundings are something to write home about as well, and the building boasts some fantastic architecture.

This is the mall to visit if you want an exclusive shopping experience.

Here at Willowbrook Mall, you can experience much more than just shopping. The possibilities are endless depending on when you visit.

Aside from the endless list of stores, well-known and individual. There is also a massive choice of dining options, such as Kelly’s Cajun Grill, Sarku Japan, Dippin Dots Ice Cream, Charley’s Philly Steaks, and many others.

They also hold classes, activities, and events, for example, the walk the mall event, where you can challenge yourself to become a mall walking champion all year round.

The event takes place daily between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, but the dates vary, so check in with them for the exact event times. It allows walkers to have a climate-controlled walk indoors two hours before shoppers begin swarming the mall.

While this might not be the biggest shopping mall on the map, it’s one of my personal favorites because of its quaint and familiar feel inside.

This indoor shopping center only contains around 50 stores and restaurants, so plenty is still to keep you busy during a retail therapy session.

Also, if you enjoy a workout during the day, you can combine shopping with the gym by using their state-of-the-art fitness center.
