I was blown away when I arrived at Hotel ZaZa in Memorial City. The service is exceptional, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay.

The rooms were well designed, spacious, and had some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, which says a lot considering I spend more time traveling than at home.

The hotel’s restaurant is a standout feature, with various delicious dishes and expertly crafted cocktails. The food is exceptionally high-quality, and I loved the whole vibes of the restaurant, which was both welcoming and sophisticated.

If you enjoy a few light spots to start your day, you have the option of table tennis, a swimming pool, and bicycle rental, and there are some great biking trails nearby to put these to the test.

During a recent stay at The Moran, I was impressed, almost overwhelmed, by this hotel’s upscale amenities and amazing location.

Not only was the decor and surrounding a sight to behold, but the rooms themselves were also out of this world, with massive, comfortable beds that were like sleeping on a cloud, there was a 50” flat screen TV, and even a mini bar to make it feel even more like a luxury experience.

Outside of the comfort of the rooms, if you can bring yourself to leave them, there is a stunning outdoor lounge area with an outdoor pool and fireplace and a bar area.

Other amenities include an on-site fitness center with tons of up-to-date equipment. There’s even a spa offering numerous treatments to relish relaxation and leisure.

Overall my stay here was terrific, the staff was all polite and friendly, and even the security and bell service always had smiles on their faces.

Despite the cost per night, my stay here was worth every dime, and I’d go back in a shot.

3. The Westin Houston – Memorial City

The Westin Houston is an amazing hotel worthy of any visit, whether for business or celebrating a special occasion.

One of the reasons people are first attracted to this hotel, and I know it was for me, is the location. Just off Interstate 10 and just over the street from Memorial City Shopping Mall, you can shop till you drop and indulge in all kinds of dining options.

When I last stayed here, I was on one of the top floors and was lucky enough to have a skyline view right from my window, which was breathtaking to wake up to each morning. However, the absolute highlight for me was the infinity rooftop top pool, where you can relax in the water while gazing out of the Houston horizon.

The rooms were comfortable, the decor modern, and everything was spick and span. My room even had a Starbucks coffee machine in there, flashy!

The on-site restaurant, The Grille, served a fantastic home-cooked breakfast selection in the morning, which I just loved sitting down to each morning, which was a great start to the day. They also served a fantastic dinner in the evening.

If you fancy a drink one night, head to The 024 Lounge for some great cocktail selections and an excellent range of beer.

Getting around is made easy with the free shuttle service, which can take you anywhere within a five-mile radius, and there’s valet parking if you’ve got your vehicle.

4. Hotel Granduca Houston

You’re going to love your stay at Hotel Granduca. I know I sure did.

Nestled in a lush green oasis just outside the Memorial Park grounds, with an outdoor dining area looking out of the serene swimming pool, you’ll think you’re a world away from the city.

Whether you’re relaxing poolside, soaking up the rays, or dining on a high tea with whimsical bone china and delightful English-style sandwiches, one thing’s for sure, you will have a stay to remember.

The rooms are enormous, and the suites are even bigger, with comfortable seating areas, fully-equipped kitchenettes, and immaculately clean bathrooms.

There are Italian antique furnishings everywhere you look, giving the place an authentic flair, and it feels so much different from your average clinical American hotel chain.

The excellent staff here made us feel special throughout the stay.

The recently renovated Whitehall Houston Hotel is a fantastic choice for modern and comfortable accommodations. The hotel’s midcentury modern decor is attractive and stylish throughout the public spaces.

The 259 guest rooms are minimally decorated but have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including flatscreen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, and free wifi. While the standard rooms don’t have mini-fridges, some of the other rooms do.

You can make the most of the stunning outdoor bar, which features live music in the evenings, and private cabanas are available for those who want to relax in style.

An on-site fitness center, concierge, and room service are all great amenities that will make your stay even more enjoyable.

The location is perfect, too, as it’s within walking distance of the convention center and other popular attractions in Houston.
